Mountain Wags Newsletter #14: 4th of July Pet Tips

Happy Almost Independence Day!

Wishing you and your family (furry friends included) a happy and safe 4th of July!

Here are a Couple Summer Pet Tips to Keep in Mind:

1. Fireworks can be scary for your beloved pets. If you can be home with them, that'd be helpful.

If not, there are a plethora of natural anti-anxiety remedies you can try - feel free to call or come in and ask about specifics. Also, make sure they have access to a place (room, crate, etc.) they feel safe during the fireworks.

2. With the unusually high temperatures in the mountains for us lately, it's advisable to take extra precaution when walking your dog on hot asphalt - the pavement can burn their paws faster than expected (see below graphic for specifics!).
